Natural Plant Compound Combats Breast Cancer

New research shows that a natural plant compound may stop breast cancer. Dead in its tracks.

This breakthrough comes out of Southampton University in the U.K. And it’s the culmination of 10 years of work.

The discovery was made by Professor Graham Packham. He’s a 10-year faculty professor at Southampton University. Prof. Packham is one of the U.K.’s leading cancer researchers. He heads up the nation-leading group Cancer Research U.K. He is also a recognized authority with The Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, a global network of researchers and scientists.

He’s been researching cancer cures for over 20 years. And he was most interested in seeing if vegetables could combat cancer. So he decided to put it to the test.

Lab tests showed that a plant compound could combat cancer cells. So he took it to the next level. He tested it on a dozen women with breast cancer and got some amazing results… The cancer stopped short in all 12. That’s because this everyday plant compound suppresses the growth of cancer cells.

“This is not a cure for cancer,” he says. “But it may well prevent the disease.”

His findings have been peer reviewed by several leading scientific researchers and published in the prestigious British Journal of Nutrition and Biochemical Pharmacology.

“We are very excited by the outcome of Professor Packham’s work,” says Dr. Steve Rothwell, a member of the Institute of Biology. He also heads up research for the Environmental Management System Committee. “This builds on research which [shows] that [this compound has] an important role to play in limiting cancer development.”

Find out what that plant compound is in Friday’s issue.
